If the post monsoon pot holed roads have taken the shine off your bikes, it’s time to cheer up.
Ceat, the flagship company of RPG Enterprises has good news for bike users. It has launched an innovative bike tyre in Hyderabad. It is a self sealing tyre that keeps your ride flat free.
According to the company officials, the new puncture-safe tyre has a sticky, gum like sealant material layer inside the tyre in the tread area. This material seals the damaged area due to puncture by any penetrating object preventing air loss and avoids the need of immediate repair. The company has filed for a patent for the innovative product.
The advantage of such a tyre is that your ride remains uninterrupted despite damage for some distance at least.
CEAT has many firsts to its credit. It is the only tyre company to be awarded the ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification. It is also India’s first tyre company to get a TUV certificate that is given to companies committed to safety.
The company has manufacturing facilities at Bandhup, Nashik, Nagpur and Halol in India with the capacity of 800 MT/day, apart from a plant in Sri Lanka for local market there.
