We never know what it takes to find what lies within ourselves which will always push us up…
Adrenaline rushing through Veins.
-Me and My Machine-
All this started from my school age. Traveling was then..now and always will be a part of My Life.
On 27th June 2015 when I finally received My First Machine- Royal Enfield- Thunderbird 350.
On 17th October 2015, I went out for my Solo ride with my Machine. It was not very planned though but just wanted to put myself and my machine in front of the sea.
The route I followed was- Pune- Satara- Umbraj- Koynanagar- Chiplun- Savarde- Ukshi road- Ganpatipule.
I started at 10.00 am in the morning of 17th October 2015, The more I started inching on highway the more I was falling in love with my Machine. My first stop was at Umbraj where I had a full bottle of water to Quench my thirst. From Pune to Umbraj I had to cross 2 Ghats (Katraj & Khambatki)
Now my next stop was at Chiplun where I have communicate with my friend for my upcoming accommodation arrangement. From Umbraj, my route was from Patan to Koyna Nagar and descending Kumbharli Ghat to enter the Kokan. Once reaching Chiplun I did my necessary calls and arranged myself an accommodation in Malgund village located 3 km.’s from Ganpatipule.
I had a very fade memory about route from Chiplun to Ganpati pule which was shortcut and can save my another 70 Km.’s if I travel all the way to Ratnagiri. But Just before reaching Sangameshwar I managed to stop near Petrol Pump to get details of that route and to my surprise that turn was 200 meters ahead of Petrol pump. In charge of Pump Mr. Vilas Ghorpade mapped the route on a chit of paper with important highlights and those detailing were quiet accurate. here at Perol Pump it was already 30 minutes passed 3 pm. and any how I have to be at Ganpatipule before sun set. I was at Ganpati mandir of Ganpati pule at 5:20 pm tired- thirst- sweaty. Even my Machine was burning after all that Journey from Pune to Ganpatipule of around 320 KM.’s.
Refreshed myself and had a wonderful darshan of Shree Ganpati of Pule. Last rays of evening entering into the temple was too amazing. Had a wonderful sun set at the Temple.
Now was the time to get some shower- food to reclaim the energy. Madachya Banat is a resort based in Malgund village. Great ambience and a very peaceful place to stay.
Next day, 18th October 2016, I planned to go South and North of Ganpatipule. In Morning, I decided to go to Ratnadurg- Bhagvati temple. The route was Simple and easy to go. But the most importantly it was all coastal route traveling by sea side. Passing from Virgin Beaches of Aarey- Ware, I entered in the fort via Mirya bandar(port).
It was 11:00 am and was a big festival of Bhagwati Devi, people coming from different places making this atmosphere more colorful and blessed.
Returning back to resort at 2:00 pm, I had my lunch and it was time to take a quick nap after a sunny day ride. In the evening I decided to go towards Jaigad fort exploring North area of Ganpatipule.
Again the route was a coastal route and I took my machine to a very beautiful Temple of Jai vinayak which is built by Jindal industries. Main attraction is Statue of Lord Ganesh, a 5.6 feet in height and is made of 5 metals (Paanch dhaatoo)
Today was the Last evening of this Solo ride, after reaching to my Resort I had my Dinner and while going to bed my main planning started for my return journey. actually there was no need to do. basic idea generally people follow the same route by which they came. But here I was planning a bit extended route.
By this I went fast a sleep then I thought. A peaceful night.
19th October 2015, while packing my bag I was taking all kind of thoughts- ideas- plannings. decission was not yet done about routing the retrn journey. But when I kicked started my Machine and the way she opened up and Dug…Dugged, I checked out the resort and started towards Jaigad fort.
Yes!!! I made up my mind to come home by following coastal route which was a longest route to come to Pune which I made it in 19 hours. It was approximately 800 to 850 KM.’s to come back to my home.
I started My return journey at 07:00am and reached home exactly at 2:25 am of 20th October 2016.
Next day in office It was a complete hang over of riding of 19 hours and I spent my that day in office by giving excuses for not sitting…which were not that logical to my colleagues!
